Allison Aldrich Smith has been a singer and musician all her life. She studied music at Boston University College of Fine Arts and taught music in public schools for 25 years. She brings creativity, broad cultural insights, and organizational skills to Central Hall Commons as the Arts Director and together with Hunt and a handful of volunteers, Allison leads the Maine Highlands Council for the Arts.
Hunt is a life-long folk and blues musician playing fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin. For fifteen years Hunt taught and played at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina. He brings his broad-ranging background in many facets of the arts to the Maine Highlands Council on the Arts. Hunt is also a noted maritime artist and offers violin restoration and repair as well as guitars, mandolins, and other stringed instruments.
