We had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Ken Ginsburg for a speaking engagement at Central Hall Commons in June and what an amazing experience!

In bringing Dr. Ken Ginsburg to this region, our primary goals were to:

1) Acknowledge the impact of the pandemic upon our region

2) Provide access to the Reaching Teens Toolkit

3) Provide professional and educational awareness of preventive and reflective learning opportunities.

We intend to bring Ken back to host more learning opportunities, especially with our area schools and community members throughout the Maine Highlands.

The families of our region were already struggling financially before our recent pandemic, with many kids in crisis, poor self-esteem, mental health issues, and increased homelessness. We hope this presentation allowed members within the community to hone tools, gain resources, and strengthen skills to serve those in need moving forward.
