On August 20th, 2023 – Central Hall Commons celebrated Johnny Ronco’s years of service to both the hall and the community. His family dedicated a plaque in his honor and we invited folks to come share a story or a memory.
“It has been 40 years since his passing at the young age of 52. Gratitude for the Memories of Dad & Central Hall. Woven into our childhood years.”
The snacks were from the late ’70s, which Johnny enjoyed every weekend with family, including chocolate-covered graham crackers, Oreos, and some variation of Little Debbie snacks.
People spoke of not only what they remembered but what they learned as life lessons that they had then taught to their children and still carried with them today.
Some people showed up that the family hadn’t been in contact with for many decades. People they didn’t know but whose lives Johnny had touched in a way that they traveled to participate in the dedication.
