Central Hall Commons brings a breath of fresh melodic air back into the timeless space of the Balsam Event Center.
Beyond musical recitals and performances, CHC hosts monthly events for multigenerational groups to gather with music and pure joy, and for the budding songsters to share their voices with the community.
Currently Offered
Below are what is offered monthly, and we continue to schedule events with musicians, sweetheart dances, and artists throughout the year.
Contradance
Price: Suggested donation is $10.00/per person, children under 18 are free.
When: Second Friday of the Month
Time: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Description: “Some Reel People” are our house band, and the dances bring young and old together for a wholesome evening full of joy.
Open Mic Night
Price: Donations are happily accepted.
When: Once a month, usually on the First Saturday of the month
Time: Sign-ups at 5:30 PM, show starts at 6:00 PM
Description: We host Brian Wilcox and other community troubadours who are willing to get behind the mic for live music, comedy, poetry, and more.
